1. Acceptance of the terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Lua Care application ("the App"), you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must not use the App.
2. Description of the service
Lua Care is a women’s wellness application that lets you log and track symptoms related to the menstrual cycle, perimenopause, and menopause. The App provides educational information and personal tracking tools.
3. Important medical notice
Lua Care is NOT a medical service and does not replace professional health consultation, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided by the App, including insights generated by artificial intelligence, is exclusively informational and educational.
You must not make medical decisions based solely on information from this App. Always consult a qualified health professional regarding any medical question or condition.
4. Eligibility
To use Lua Care, you must be over 18 years old. Use of the App by minors is not permitted.
5. User accounts
Lua Care allows anonymous use (as a guest) and also account creation with email. If you use the App as a guest, your data is tied to your device and could be lost if you uninstall the App or change devices.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
6. Acceptable use
When using Lua Care, you agree to:
- Provide truthful health information for your own benefit.
- Not attempt to access other users’ data.
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App.
- Not use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Not interfere with the normal operation of the App or its servers.
7. Intellectual property
All Lua Care content, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and design, is owned by Lua Care or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
8. Artificial intelligence insights
Lua Care uses artificial intelligence models to generate personalized insights based on the data you log. These insights:
- Are guidance-oriented and do not constitute medical diagnoses.
- Are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies.
- Must not be used as the sole basis for health decisions.
- Are processed with the security measures described in our Privacy Policy.
- Are grounded in peer-reviewed medical and scientific literature. Consult our sources and methodology.
9. Service availability
Lua Care is provided "as is" and "as available." We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without prior notice.
We do not guarantee that the App will be available uninterrupted, secure, or error-free at all times.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lua Care, its directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App.
- Health decisions made based on information from the App.
- Loss of data due to technical failures or guest use.
- Service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control.
11. Changes to the terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of Lua Care after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account if you violate these terms, without prior notice and without any obligation to compensate you.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of Mexico City.
14. Premium subscriptions and payments
Lua Care offers free features with certain usage limits, as well as an optional subscription, Lua Care Premium, that unlocks unlimited use of features such as food logging and chat with Lua.
- Lua Care Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, available in monthly and annual plans.
- Payment will be charged to your App Store account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The renewal charge occurs within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the already paid period.
- Prices may vary by country or region and are subject to change. Any price change will be notified according to Apple policies.
- Purchases and refunds are processed through Apple and are governed by App Store policies.
- To purchase a subscription, you need a registered email account so your subscription can be recovered if you change devices or reinstall the App.

- Usage limits on the free version (e.g. number of food logs and chat tokens) reset according to the app's rules and do not entitle you to a refund.
